Primary responsibility of this role is to lead the engineering design for product design and development of new technology Electro-mechanical and Mechatronic products (Wiring devices, IoT, Home automation, EV charger, Lighting, IAQ, Switchgear etc), to meet customer specific technical, cost and market related technology requirement, in accordance with standards (both national & international).
The candidate will be involved in all phases of product development, including technical project management.
Create new design of the Electro-mechanical /mechatronics product including the 3D data creation, modelling and drawings.
Work closely with electronic and software team for incorporation of their input for the design.

Work closely with the Cross-functional teams and suppliers for the product realization and project execution.

Develop designs to meet new technology product market needs defined by product technical specifications.

Responsible for the design, development, verification, validation, documentation and manufacturing readiness.
Lead engineering analysis on design concepts using engineering fundamentals and analysis tools (material strength, stack-up analysis, mechanism) and conduct complex design feasibility studies using hands on 3D softwares like Solidworks / Creo / Hyperworks / Ansys etc.
Have manufacturing/tooling knowledge to perform in plastic & metallic parts design.
Design for Cost, Design for Manufacture/Assembly (DFM/DFA) on individual parts, subassemblies with the ability to propose alternate materials and methods of assembly and manufacture.
Develop and test product qualification, certification and reliability requirements
Manage execution of prototype design; build and test
Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis to resolve design concept failures.

Graduate in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering (must have)
